Directions to James River Runners

Using GPS can often place you on the other side of the river. We are located on the North side of the river. Please be sure your directions are to the correct side if using MapQuest or GPS. Call us if you need help getting here: (434) 286-2338.

Where are you coming from?

Coming from Charlottesville, VA

  1. Take Route 20 South for approx. 18 miles.
  2. TURN RIGHT onto Route 726 (James River Rd) Just past the Truist Bank. Cross over Rt.6 (Irish Rd.). Continue to the 3 way intersection and take a Right (still Rt.726, James River Rd.
  3. Continue about 3 miles. Take a Left onto Hatton Ferry Rd.
  4. Continue 2 miles to the end of road. You are here!!

Coming from Buckingham, VA

  1. Take Rt. 20 North to Scottsville.
  2. Proceed past Rt. 6 EAST and go THROUGH Scottsville to Rt. 6 WEST (about 1/2 mile).
  3. At top of the hill, turn Left, onto Route 726 (James River Rd). Continue to the 3 way intersection and take a Right (still Rt.726, James River Rd.)
  4. Continue about 3 miles. Take a Left onto Hatton Ferry Rd.
  5. Continue 2 miles to the end of road. You are here!

From Wintergreen Resort

  1. Follow Rt. 151 North to Rt. 6 East to 29 North.
  2. TURN LEFT on 29 North and go 4 miles to Rt. 6 East.
  3. Follow Rt. 6 East to Scottsville.
  4. TURN RIGHT onto Route 726 (James River Rd). Continue to the 3 way intersection and take a Right (still Rt.726, James River Rd.
  5. Continue about 3 miles. Take a Left onto Hatton Ferry Rd.
  6. Continue 2 miles to the end of road. You are here!!
